Today is the last to get any business done at governmental offices until Tuesday as several places will be closed for Independence Day.

All Perry city offices, the Perry Public Library, the McCreary Community Building and the Water Works Office will be closed Monday.  Dallas County offices will also be closed, along with the Adel City Hall and public library.

Additionally, Perry’s garbage and recycling routes scheduled for Monday will be picked up Tuesday and Tuesday’s will be picked up Wednesday.  Therefore, there will be no yard waste pickup next week.

Post offices, most financial institutions and some businesses will also be closed for the holiday.
