The Jefferson Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a fugitive.

Captain Heath Enns says Anthony (Tony) Kennedy fled from a work release program in Fort Dodge through the Iowa Department of Corrections. He immediately fled the scene and is believed to be in the Jefferson and/or Greene County area. An arrest warrant was issued on July 11th.

Kennedy is serving a two year prison sentence for an aggravated misdemeanor for eluding and a serious misdemeanor for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated for a July 2015 incident where he led law enforcement on a chase through Jefferson after he refused to pull his vehicle over for having a warrant from Greene and Hamilton counties.
