A semi driver was injured after his 2008 Freightliner rolled on Interstate 80 westbound, near the Casey exit, Friday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that 61 year old Charles Delk, of Pulaski, Tennessee, was injured when he lost control of his rig. The trailer detached from the truck, before both tipped and came to rest in the north ditch. The trailer came to rest on its left side and the truck came to rest on its top.
Delk was transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines by Stuart Rescue. Also assisting at the scene were the Adair and Guthrie County Sheriff’s offices, Casey Rescue and Adair Rescue.
Delk was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.
