The Guthrie Center softball team will play a cross-county team in the opening round of the Class 1A regional playoffs, on Tuesday, July 5th. The Tigers will host the Crusaders of Coon Rapids-Bayard at 7 p.m. that evening. The winner will travel to powerhouse Newell-Fonda the following evening. The two squads haven’t faced each other this season, but Guthrie Center was victorious when they faced off most recently on June 4th of last year.
