Roland Story swept Perry in a varsity doubleheader Monday night at Progressive Field taking a pair by a score of 11-6 and 13-3 in five innings.  Ironically, one big inning in each game proved to be critical in the night’s outcome.  In game one, Roland Story scored 6 times in the top of the 6th inning to break open a 5-5 tie.  Perry outhit the Norseman 10-7 but a pair of long homeruns powered Roland Story to the game one victory.  Austin Carpenter, Janier Puente and Adan Medina all finished with 2 hits.

In game two, Roland Story sent 16 batters to the plate in the 2nd inning alone as they scored 11 times to put the game away.  Every single player in the Norse starting lineup scored a run in the disastrous second inning.  Perry jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on all stater Tyler Hovick when Medina delivered a two-run single.  Hovick settled in after that finishing the game with 10 strikeouts in working the complete game.  Alex Long started the game and lasted 1 1/3, and was replaced with Kade Van Kirk and Drew Levan.

Perry is 0-2 and will travel to Norwalk tonight.
