Last week we introduced you to the three Republican candidates running for Dallas County Supervisor but that’s not the only contested race in the county.
There are two women running for auditor, a position which will be vacant after this year.
One of the candidates has worked in the county auditor’s office for the past seven years and says it was her boss’s idea for her to run.
“Gene Krumm, the current Dallas County Auditor, asked me to run about a year ago and the more I got to thinking about it the more I thought ‘I think I can impact the county and keep building on what our office has been working on.’”
Helm says a lot of people don’t realize what all the county auditor does and she feels her experience working in all aspects of the office make her a great choice for the position.
