The Perry Chamber Board continues to their efforts to give back to the local community school district.

“We want to help the school district as much as possible.  It’s a vital part of our community and it’s a great part of our community.  One way we’ve been doing that lately is a couple of board members and a handful of people from the library and the Optimist Club have gone up and been reading with or to elementary students.”

That’s Executive Director Bob Wilson who says it’s a great opportunity for all involved.

“This is a valuable experience not only for the students for their educational minute but also, just introducing them to community members is here.  I see a great impact, I know the Chief of Police Eric Vaughn, he was up there.  How great is that for students to see the police department and how much they care.”
