One person was transported to the hospital via air ambulance Friday morning after falling from a construction site.

Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn tells Raccoon Valley Radio a middle aged man was laying brick at the Bear Development housing construction site, across the street from the police department on Willis Avenue, when he reportedly fell two to three stories.

It happened shortly after 10:30am.  Perry First Responders and Perry Police responded to the scene to administer first aid.  Vaughn says the victim had a large cut on his head and they were concerned about possible additional injuries.

Due to the nature of the incident and no Dallas County EMS ambulances being available, Vaughn says Life Flight was called to transport the victim to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

His name and extent of the injuries are not known at this time.
