Absentee voting for the June 7th primary election begins today in Guthrie County.

Auditor Jerri Christman says anyone unable to make it to the polls on June 7th may fill out an absentee ballot request form and mail it to the Guthrie County Auditor’s office at 200 North 5th Street, Guthrie Center, Iowa 50115. Requests must be received by June 3rd. Request forms are available on the Guthrie County website and Secretary of State’s website.

Absentee ballots must be postmarked by midnight on June 6th or may be dropped off at the Auditor’s office before the polls close at 9 p.m. on June 7th.

Additionally, absentee ballots may be cast in the Auditor’s office weekdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 4th.
