Grow Greene County logoThe deadline for anyone wishing to apply for a competitive grant through Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation (GGCGC) is next month.

The non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose will consider any competitive grant request of over $35,000. President Norm Fandel says they are expecting to allocate $200,000 for their first grant cycle of 2016. He points out that the $200,000 is separate from the non-competitive grants for school districts, contiguous counties, municipalities and other entities, which is about $500,000. Fandel adds the funding for the first grant cycle is only half a year of operations from the adjusted gross income from Wild Rose, which opened this past July.

Grant applications are available by clicking the link below. Deadline to submit applications is by February 11th to Grow Greene County at P.O. Box 437, Jefferson, Iowa 50129.

Grants will be awarded this April.

The GGCGC Board includes Kate Neese, Peg Raney, Brenda Muir, Rick Morain, Lori Mannel, Norm Fandel, Bob Allen, Craig Marquardt and Michael Mumma as legal counsel.
