The Greene County Iowa State University Extension office is offering a free workshop next week.

Extension Director Lori Mannel says the Smart Choice class is designed to help those make health insurance decisions.  Topics to be covered include understanding key health insurance concepts and terms, understanding the needs and priorities that are right for you, comparing several health insurance policies from providers, reviewing updates to the Affordable Healthcare Act and understanding tax credits and health saving options.

The online workshop can be done from the comfort of your own home.  It will be on Tuesday, December 1st from 6 to 8pm.

There’s no cost to participate, but you must pre-register by calling the Extension office in Jefferson at 386-2138.
