Whoever said the little guy can’t play in a big world clearly never met former ADM Tiger football player Lane Hovey.

Of course we’re not talking about the Nebraska Junior’s 6-4, 204lb stature, but instead, his rise from small town humble origins. From a small town high school in central Iowa to one of the most historic cities playing for one of the most historic teams in college football, Hovey has come a long way.

Today Hovey will playing in one of the most important and meaningful games in college football, as he and the Nebraska Cornhuskers welcome the undefeated No.4 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes. This game brings big implications as an Iowa win could put them in the playoffs. Lane Hovey and the Cornhuskers however, wish to play spoiler.

Hovey on the year has 11 receptions for 152 yards and one touchdown for Nebraska, with the touchdown grab coming in week 9 in a road loss to Purdue.
