The ADM girls basketball team will be looking to build off of their success from Tuesday night’s game. The Lady Tigers took down a talented Van Meter Bulldogs team by the final score of 61-52. Coach Schneider and the Lady Tigers executed a fast paced game both offensively and defensively. They were able to correct one of their big struggles in game one regarding pace. Against the Norwalk Warriors one of the struggles for the Lady Tigers was letting the pace get too fast for them. ADM played within themselves and yet still kept up a fast pace throughout Tuesday nights game.

The ADM girls played suffocating pressure defense which backfired a few times leading to unnecessary fouls but with a much improved shooting offense, the Lady Tigers kept up their positive pace. ADM did a wonderful job overall of picking good passing and shooting lanes which ended up resulting in a lot of free throw opportunities. ADM capitalized on the majority of those opportunities going 17-28 from the charity stripe with most of those coming in the second half.

Sydney Canney led all scoring for the Tigers with 15 points followed by Sydney Bertman with 14 points and Molly Jacobsen with 12 points. The team as a whole drained 16 2-pt field goals while making 4 3-pt field goals. The Lady Tigers ended the first half with 7 fouls while ending the second half with 10 fouls.

The Lady Tigers will have a week to rest from their two back to back games. Their next match-up will be another home game as they take on Pella Christian. Game tip off is at 6:00 pm with pregame tip off starting at 5:30 pm on your home for ADM sports, k107.9FM.
