The Greene County High School volleyball teams host North Polk (Alleman) in the middle school gym in Jefferson tonight. It’s a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference game and also Blocking Out Cancer Night. T-shirts have been sold to the public and there was a silent auction at a past football game to help raise funds and awareness.
Coach Donna Carhill’s Rams are 11-13 overall and 2-4 in the conference. The Comets are 4-1 in HOIAC action and 20-8 overall. Greene County is coming off a split at home on Tuesday of this week with a conference loss to Gilbert and a non-conference win vs. Boone.
After tonight, the varsity Rams go southeast on Saturday, Oct. 10 to the Pella Tournament starting at 9 a.m.
