bats_lgAs the summer winds down, hibernating mammals will begin looking for a warm place to slumber until spring. Paul Dawson, a state certified Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator and owner of Ace’s Animal Control in Guthrie Center, says many critters, including bats, will try to make their way into your heated home. “Definitely the bats, because right now they’re putting on weight and will go into hibernation around the beginning of November. They are trying to find the warmest place around so your house is the best place for them.”

Dawson will tell us how to keep wild animals out of your home this fall, and what to do if your home does become infested, today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
