A small wastewater discharge has occurred at Lake Panorama. According to Department of Natural Resources Enviromental Specialist Thad Nanfito, the South Panorama Sanitary District reported a lift station problem to the DNR on Sunday, August 23rd. On Monday night, DNR officials verified the small wastewater discharge occurred, but are unsure how much wastewater entered the lake. Though the pumps at the lift station appear functional, the sanitary district is considering building a new lift station where discharges would be less likely to reach the lake.
