perry schoolsThere’s a full slate of candidates for this year’s school board election in the Perry Community School District.

Six people submitted the required paperwork to get their name on the ballot to fill three open seats.

School board directors are at-large positions in Perry, meaning voters cast ballots for all positions, regardless of where the live in the district.

Incumbent directors Jim Lutmer and Kenia Alarcon are both seeking reelection after serving one four-year term each.  Current school board president Dan Wilhelmi is not running again.

Linda Andorf, Susan Brelsford, Corey Eastman and Pete Malmberg are all hoping to be elected to the board for the first time.

Superintendent Lynn Ubben says the District is “pleased to have such a fine slate of candidates” on the ballot.  She adds that serving on a school board is a challenging job requiring leadership, vision and dedication.

The school board election will take place Tuesday, September 8th.
