Participants and volunteers are needed for this year’s Hot August Night in Jefferson.
The event is sponsored by the Greene County Chamber. It is an evening of family fun with several types of cars, trucks, motorcycles and antique tractors on display around the downtown square. Last year’s event brought in 356 vehicles and more are expected for this year.
It will be on Thursday, August 13th from 5 to 8pm. There will be a $200 cash prize for the visiting car club that registers the most vehicles, with the first 300 people receiving a free t-shirt. Exhibitors will also select an Exhibitor’s Choice Award and a Spirit Award that best exemplifies the “spirit” of the event in remembrance of Walter E. Hausdorfer.
Registrations for exhibitors can be found by clicking the link in this story on our website. There’s no registration fee. A grilled picnic meal will be served by the Jefferson Kiwanis Club, the Chamber and other volunteers. Plus, there will be free watermelon.
