Dallas County Board of Supervisors Meeting Preview

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday.

Items on the agenda include approval of payroll change notices, awarding certificates of appreciation for service milestones and discussing the scanner purchase and software maintenance agreement for the Treasurer’s office.

The Board will then consider disabled veterans homestead tax credit applications, hold a public hearing in regards to the County Engineer employment contract and set public hearings in regards to a jail software upgrade plan, jail service agreement and courthouse service agreement.

Finally, the Supervisors will consider vehicle purchase requests for the Sheriff’s office and case management department and discuss the human services campus renovation project.

The meeting takes place at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.

 

Farmland Leasing Meeting in Adel Next Month

The Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office is offering a Farmland Leasing workshop next month.

The three hour meeting will be facilitated by Extension Farm Management Specialist Steve Johnson.  Issues that will be discussed include the latest surveys on cash rent, farmland values and leasing practices.

The meeting takes place at St. John’s Catholic Church in Adel on Monday, August 10th from 9am until noon.

Preregistration is due by August 6th and the cost to attend is $20 per person, or $30 for a couple.
