Graveside services for Vere Acker, 83, of Greenfield, will be Monday at 12:30 pm at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter.  Full military rites will be conducted by the Greenfield American Legion Post 265 and V F W Post 5357.  Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.  Memorials to the Vere Acker Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.  Online condolences may be left for the family at steenfunerals.com.  Survivors include:  Wife, Barbara Acker of Greenfield.  Daughters, Christine Acker of Creston, Linda Smith of Coon Rapids and Kimberly Coe of Greenfield.  Son, Dale Acker of Greenfield.  5 grandchildren.
