perry logoThe Perry City Council will meet in regular session this evening.

Items on the agenda include a mayoral proclamation in regards to Straw Free Day, consideration of a grant agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for the Traffic Safety Improvement Program project, followed by a professional services contract with Bolton and Menk for the project.

The Council will then approve a grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration for the airport environmental assessment study and approve a professional services contract with Bolton and Menk for the Willis Avenue bridge project.

New business items include setting a public hearing in regards to the fiscal year 2015 budget amendment, setting a time and date for the May 18th regular Council meeting and approval of matching funds for the 2016 down payment assistance program.

Next the Council will consider a request to allow livestock within city limits from residents at 2416 Taft Street, approve the Dallas County Emergency Management Mitigation Plan, make an appointment to the airport commission and set a public hearing for a perpetual easement.

Finally, the second reading of an ordinance repealing and replacing the City’s rental code and another for an amendment to the official zoning map will be considered.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building.
