The Adair County Conservation Board says they’ll once again be holding their free fishing clinic in early June. Director Kevin Blazek says the event is designed to educate youth about safety around water as well as getting them involved with fishing. “The Optimist Club and the Conservation Board partner to educate kids about fishing and give them an opportunity to go fishing and after that eat some hot dogs and get some goodies.”

Blazek says kids should plan on bringing their own rods, reels and bait, but they may have a few extra to use just in case. The free event for kids up to fifteen years of age will take place Saturday, June 6th from 8:30 a.m.-noon at Greenfield Lake. No pre-registration is required.
