Weigh-ins for swine, sheep and goats will take place this Saturday at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds from 8-10 a.m.. Weigh-in tags costs $2 each. Additional fees include a $5 cost for DNA testing if you’re showing the animal at Ak-Sar-Ben and a $5 cost for a retinal scan if you’re showing the animal at the Iowa State Fair. If you plan on identifying for the state fair, please call the Guthrie County Extension Office in advance at 641-747-2276.
