Perry is just one municipality involved with the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, a group that aims to attract business development in the area.

This week, Ryan Peterson with the Alliance and Impact7G stopped by the City Council meeting to talk about what work they are doing to try and boost Perry’s economy.

“The big thing that they’re working on for us is our certified site out at the industrial park.  That’s a process with the state that pre-certifies and has all the front line work done so when the site selector comes so, environmental issues, issues with the property and ownership.  So people can just come in and very quickly start a development project” says Administrative Assistant Sven Peterson who says Perry sees several benefits from their involvement with the group.

City Administrator Butch Niebuhr has been actively involved with the Alliance for several years and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors.
