If we don’t get snow today, or tomorrow it’s only a matter of time before more inevitably falls on our part of the state.

A reminder to Perry residents, the City does have a sidewalk snow removal ordinance. Property owners in the residential district must remove snow or ice accumulations within 48 hours of when it stops falling.

Those in the business district only have 12 hours to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks.

Anyone who doesn’t obey the ordinance are subject to having the City do the work for you and then accessing the cost to the property owner in the same way property tax is collected.
