The Perry girls basketball team will begin their season Monday night when they host the Newton Cardinals in a 7:30 matchup.  The Jayettes have been practicing hard for the past two weeks and now their ready to see somebody new.

“We have had a hard practice schedule,” said point guard Maggie Lowe.  “I was actually pretty sore after the first few days.  It’s all good though.  We have been working hard and the enthusiasm has been really high.  There has been a lot of chatter and that’s a good thing.  We’re excited for the season to get started.”

The Jayettes fell one game short of the state tournament a year ago.
