A deputy was dispatched to the 209 Main Restaurant in Paton to check an alarm activation. The building was found to be secure.

K-9 units from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Boone Police Department, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office all executed a search in the Greene County High School and Greene County Middle School.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff responded to a single vehicle accident on 235th Street near the Jefferson Airport and old Amory. A 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix being driven by Marc Donald McGinn 63, of Jefferson was traveling west on old Highway 30 when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the south ditch at the entrance of the Armory, which is now owned by Greene County. McGinn’s vehicle then struck the chain link fence causing an estimated $8000 in damages to his car. Marc McGinn was not injured and no damage estimate was determined to the fence.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to a car-deer accident on 220th Street between I and J Avenue. A 2008 KIA optima that was being driven by Boe Michael Jenkins 25, of Whiting, Iowa, was eastbound on Highway 30 when a deer ran in front of the Jenkins vehicle. Jenkins and his two children were not injured but his vehicle sustained an estimated $5000 in damages.

A deputy was advised of a possible burglary to a residence in the 300 block of Hendricks Street in Rippey. The deputy was advised by the caller that several of the items missing could be due to a family civil issue.

A deputy was asked to investigate a trespassing concern in the 900 block of 190th Street.

A deputy was dispatched to a reported single vehicle rollover accident on 327th Street and X Avenue. Upon the deputy’s arrival he found no one with the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup belonging to Tyler Ray Bryant 22, of Harcourt, Iowa. An investigation was initiated as to who the driver may have been.

A deputy was advised of a runaway youth from a residence in the 500 block of Anyer Street in Dana. The deputy searched many locations and did not locate the juvenile female. The female later returned home on her own accord.

Saturday, November 22nd

Drug paraphernalia was brought to the Law Enforcement Center and turned over to a deputy for disposal.

Greene County deputies, Greene County EMS and the Jefferson Fire Department all responded to a single vehicle accident on the Raccoon River Bridge west of Jefferson. A 2003 Honda CRV being driven by Gina Rae Sloan 50, of Urbandale, Iowa, was westbound on 220th Street and reported hitting a slick spot on the river bridge. Her vehicle struck the bridge and continued on through the bridge hitting a tree in the north ditch. Gina Sloan was transported to the Greene County Medical Center for further medical evaluation. Her vehicle sustained an estimated $8000 in damages.

A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with traffic control after an accident on Highway 4 at the Fareway entrance.

A deputy investigated a trespassing complaint at the Sparky’s One Stop in Rippey.

A deputy assisted a stranded motorist on 235th Street near the Jefferson Airport.

Sunday, November 23rd

A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with an investigation at the Greenwood Apartments.

A deputy was advised of hunters along the bike trail near Cooper.

A deputy issued a DNR salvage tag for a deer that was struck and killed in the 1600 block of 130th Street.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
