More and more, libraries around the Country are becoming social centers for young adults to not only read, or study, but to hang out, play games and watch movies. Stuart librarian Sandy Pollard says her library is jumping on that same bandwagon, “When I started a few years ago, we had very, very few books in  the young adult section. And now we have lots of popular series. If a movie’s coming out, we tried to make sure we have all of that series.”

Pollard says she foresees the possibility of things like chess lessons and tournaments, and board games coming to the library in the future.
