It was just an exhibition game, but the ADM girls basketball team put together an impressive blowout win Thursday night, dispatching Lenox 50-11 at Southwestern Community College as part of the girls varsity Jamboree.

The Tigers were up 36-4 at one point before resting the starters the last five minutes of the game. ADM girls basketball coach Corey Schneider said he was happy with the way his team performed against a 2-3 zone. He said ADM hit a couple of 3’s and moved the ball fairly well, but added he would have liked to have seen his players push the ball more frequently.

Defensively, Schneider said his girls worked hard but that they must get in transition defense and help-side defense.

Sophomore Sydney Bertman lead ADM with 10 points. Junior Molly Jacobsen had eight, while Kenzi Sutton, Emily Hoffman, Erica Baier and Emily Mueller each had six. Four other players chipped in two points, and overall 11 players saw the floor.

ADM opens the regular season Monday night in Adel. Our coverage from the North Gym begins at 6:45 p.m. on K107 and raccoonvalleyradio.com. Tip is at 7:30 p.m.
