A Fort Dodge woman faces felony burglary and theft charges in Jefferson.

Police Chief Dave Morlan says a safe was reported stolen from McAtee Tire on August 8th.  Police obtain video surveillance footage of the incident from the business and noticed two males and a female were wearing black clothes, but they couldn’t positively identify the alleged suspects.  One person broke into the business and unlocked a door to allow the others to gain entry.

Morlan states that on November 7th, the Webster County Sheriff’s office contacted them and told them that the stolen safe was recovered from an executed search warrant that they did at 304 South 4th Street in Fort Dodge.  One of the accused suspects was arrested.

Morlan notes that they charged 36 year-old Kylene Suzanne Rabourne with Class D Felonies for second degree theft and third degree burglary.  She is currently being held in the Webster County Jail.

Investigators believe that Rabourne sought out an individual in Jefferson to get new tires put on her vehicle and that’s when they think she was able to surveillance the auto-garage and plan the burglary.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
