Perry’s Tyler Soll is one of those guys that simply plugs the middle of the offense and doesn’t get noticed a lot from the casual fan.  That’s usually the case with a solid defensive tackle and Soll has improved with each week gaining experience and valuable lessons in his first year of varsity football.  The young sophomore has been thrust into the lineup due to injuries and performance.

“Joe Olvera gets a lot of attention and rightfully so since he is a special talent,” added Perry Head Coach Jason Olejniczak.  “But Tyler has done a really solid job for us this year when we had a key injury.  He lines up next to Joe and  is so strong and just keeps getting stronger.  That shouldn’t be a surprise since he is one of the hardest workers in the weight room.  All of that hard work is paying off this year.  He will continue to improve and for him to get thrown in there like he has is a testament to how hard he works.”

Soll will try to finish up the regular season strong this Friday night when the Bluejays travel to Humboldt for a 7:30 kickoff.
