WCV High SchoolIt is homecoming week for West Central Valley High School in Stuart.

It is usually a time where students participate in family-friendly activities throughout the week leading up to the traditional home football game which the Wildcats play against Prairie Valley on Friday.

Superintendent Dr. David Arnold wants to remind all students that they need to act mature during all homecoming festivities this week.

“We just want to encourage kids to be safe, be smart and participate in the activities, come to the (football) game and be helpful.  We’ve added some new things, in terms of fencing, at the games underneath the bleachers since the last home game.  There is some crowd control in place now that kids can’t run around.  They need to watch the game, sit with their parents and participate.”

He adds that the school district isn’t the entity that needs to be contacted if there’s negative behavior that goes on outside of the school day, that people should contact the law enforcement authorities to handle those types of situations.

Arnold believes that most of the students behavior very well and he’s looking for another successful homecoming week full of fun and responsible behavior.
