The Northern Dallas County Relay for Life event takes place this weekend and teams from all over the area are gearing up to celebrate a yearlong effort.

Co-Chair Gary Iles says there are different activities planned throughout the day, starting with registration at 11am, ranging from caricatures, to Locks of Love, wrestlers, Iowa Barnstormers players and magic.

The event takes place Saturday at the Perry High School athletic complex.
