The Greene County volleyball team remains on the road tonight when the Rams travel to the northeast side of Des Moines to face the Saydel Eagles in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference action. Coach Donna Carhill’s team is 3-2 in the league and 8-7 overall while the Eagles are 4-12 overall and 0-4 in the conference. The Rams will be trying to win a conference road match for the third time in eight days after Greene County won in five sets in Monroe vs. PCM on Sept. 23, and then won in three sets on Sept. 25 vs. Colfax-Mingo in Colfax.

Greene County is in the midst of a 34-day stretch without playing at home. The Rams lost in Jefferson to Roland-Story (Story City) on Sept. 16 and their only remaining home game is on Monday, Oct. 20 vs. non-conference opponent Perry to end the regular season. All remaining HOIAC games are on the road.

Tonight’s game vs. Saydel is the only one this week for the Rams due to scheduled Homecoming activities.
