vote_earlyThough Election Day registration will be available on November 4th, everyone is urged to do so in advance.

Dallas County Auditor and Elections Commissioner Gene Krumm encourages voters to register before October 25th to avoid extra paperwork and time in line at your polling place on election day.

Those who plan to vote absentee or register at their poling location on November 4th will need to prove both their residence and identity.  In order to do so, hard paper copies of a property tax statement, utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or other government document will suffice as proof of residence.

Identity can be proven with an Iowa driver’s license, out of state driver’s license, government issued identification card or a U.S. passport.

All forms of ID need to be current and valid with an expiration date.

The Dallas County Auditor’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm and special hours Saturday October 25th and Saturday November 1st from 5am to 5pm.
