The Greene County volleyball team has played at home in Jefferson more that its been on the road so far this season, but that changes this week. Coach Donna Carhill’s team has begun a 34-day stretch without playing at home. This week the Rams are in Monroe tonight (Tuesday) to face PCM in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play before heading southeast again on Thursday to face Colfax-Mingo in Colfax. Those are the two longest conference road trips of the season and both take place on school nights.

Greene County is 1-2 in the HOIAC after losing in straight sets to Class 3A fifth ranked Nevada, and Roland-Story (Story City) earlier this month. Both of those games were in Jefferson. The Rams started the season with a conference win over CMB (Maxwell) in four sets.
