greene county medical centerAnyone interested in improving their overall health is invited to attend a series of classes for free in Jefferson.

Greene County Public Health is sponsoring the “Better Choices, Better Health” six-week course that is designed to help individuals feel motivated, overcome frustration, breathe better and tips on how to manage stress and anxiety.

Jill Jeurgensen, a public health registered nurse w, says she will lead the classes along with Jodi Schroeder, a discharge planning nurse and Denise Promes with the diabetes and cardiac management department.

The workshops will be held at the Greene County ISU Extension office on Mondays from September 15th through October 20th from 1:30-4pm.

Jeurgensen notes that participants should attend every class to get the maximum benefit of it and she adds that they offer these types of classes three to four times per year.

The program is free, but pre-registration is encouraged by calling the public health department at 386-3228.
