A reminder to everyone, if you have government, municipal or financial business to take care of, you might want to do so today because several offices will be closed Monday.
The Perry City Hall and Water Works offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day Monday. The Perry Public Library will be closed both Sunday and Monday, with winter library hours resuming on Tuesday, September 2nd. The McCreary Community Building will be open limited hours of 1-5pm Monday, with the pool closing at 4:30.
Garbage and recycling routes normally picked up on Monday will be pushed back to Tuesday and Tuesday’s routes will be run on Wednesday. As a result, there will be no yard waste pickup next week.
The Perry City Council meeting has been moved to Tuesday at 6pm in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building.
In addition, post offices, courthouses and most financial institutions will also be closed Monday.
