A heads up to Perry area residents… phone service at the Perry Police Department may be temporarily interrupted tomorrow morning.

According to Communications Supervisor Lori Riley, the department will be switching phone service providers starting at 8am Wednesday.  Anyone who calls the police station during the transition that doesn’t get an answer within three rings is encouraged to hang up and instead dial 911.

911 emergency services will not be interrupted during the switch.

The process is expected to take around an hour to complete.
