baseballThe ADM baseball team saw its season come to a disappointing end last Friday night in their district opening loss to DC-G.

For head coach Jason Book, the loss was indicative of the Tigers’ entire 2014 season: too much inconsistency was on display yet again.

Here’s Coach Book with his reaction to the season being over sooner than anticipated.

“I’m disappointed for the boys because I know they’re a better team than (what they showed).  It’s a little bit disheartening as well… You know one of our goals was to eclipse the 20-win mark and we lost a few games that would have helped us do that.  We just didn’t play consistently enough night in and night out to really be the team that we needed to be to advance deep in the playoffs.”

The best stretch of the ADM baseball season came at the beginning of June, when the Tigers won six straight over the likes of Bondurant-Farrar, Perry, Winterset, Norwalk, Ogden and DC-G, but after that hot streak, Coach Book’s club went 9-10 the rest of the way.

Despite the season now being complete, we’ll have year end recap coverage of ADM baseball throughout this week ahead.
