ADMThe ADM boys track team enters tonight’s meet at Urbandale coming off its best performance of the season.

But just how impressive was the Tigers’ performance Tuesday at Pella Christian?  Well, despite the cold temperatures, head coach Mike Whisner says his boys had a ‘good night’.

“We won the Pella Christian Relays and scored in 16 of the 18 events so we were pretty pleased with that.  Won seven of (those events).  But yeah it was chilly, the wind never really stopped.  It wasn’t bad when we got there but it just kind of picked up and got colder when the sun went down, so really, it was just a good night to get a good workout in.”

While conditions may not have been ideal for top times on Tuesday, ADM did have seven winning events as Coach Whisner noted.  Josh Berger won the 3,200 meters, while Kyle Hovey and Berger went 1, 2 in the 1,600 meters.  Hovey also won the 800.  Tate Jensen then went out and won both the high and low hurdle events, while senior shot putter Jesse Bennett was the final individual winner with his throw of just over 45’ in the shot put.

As for the Tigers’ relays, they’re 4 x 800 and the shuttle-hurdle teams grabbed wins.
