We have more information on Saturday night’s fatal car accident in Dallas County.

The Iowa State Patrol tells Raccoon Valley Radio 31 year-old Jerrod Nuss of Des Moines was traveling northbound on Ute Avenue in Waukee around 9:30pm Saturday.  His 2002 Chrysler Seabring crossed the center line in the 3400 block and struck a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 28 year-old Jacob Beebee of Minburn.

Nuss was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Beebee and his wife Shawna Beebee were both buckled in.  They were transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time and information on the presence of drugs or alcohol is pending the results of Nuss’s autopsy.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Dallas County EMS assisted the state patrol at the scene.
